Born in Babylon and raised in Baghdad, Wissam grew up seeing his mother and aunts buy physical gold and his father and uncles buy real estate as this was the only available long term investment options available in Iraq. It was these observations that sparked his curiosity about investing and led him to discover his passion for the capital market. He then migrated to the U.S. at age of 23 to expand his financial experience and knowledge. Living in Middle East, U.S.and Europe in the past 15 years, he has learned the need for trustworthy investment management companies among the Arabic speaking community as well as for U.S. citizens living abroad to navigate the complexity of cross-border investments. For this reason, he began Tigris Consulting. His aim is to use his former experience as a financial investigative analyst and aid specialist along with his current knowledge as an investment advisor to help simplify investing for individuals and families and assist them in achieving their investment and retirement goals.
